Disruption In Devon & Cornwall Due To G7 Summit

Posted by in News on 4th June 2021

As you may be aware between the 11th – 13th June the G7 summit is taking place in Cornwall and there is major disruption expected across the whole region due to this. From Monday 7th June preparations for the event and the arrival of delegates will begin and major restrictions will be in force. We have been informed that local and regional restrictions can and will be imposed and enforced at a moment’s notice with no warning given, especially in areas where delegates will be residing which remains unknown to us at this point for obvious security reasons.

For more information on the event and the restrictions within these areas please visit Devon & Cornwall Police

With ongoing volume pressures in this area and with the impact of the summit, from Monday 7th June the following postcode areas will be moved to an Economy only service until further notice.

TR

On Thursday 10th June 2021 and Friday 11th June 2021 there will be no input allowed to the TR26-27 postcodes as these areas will be completely closed during the G7 Summit.

The South West is already under a great strain with huge volumes and this event will only make the situation worse so please inform your customers of the upcoming disruption .

These restrictions are in place for Haz Chem, Palletways and TPN
