The Mitchells team achieved a hard-fought third place in this year’s dragon boat race, relinquishing our crown after winning our race day last year.
Having made the gold final with a time of 1 minute 13 seconds, the team weren’t able to catch eventual winners NRA Roofing (1 minute 05 seconds), finishing in 1 minute 15 seconds.
Doing Our Bit For Charity
Of course, the real objective of the day was to raise as much money as possible for Nottingham Hospitals Charity and the fabulous work they do in the local community.
This year we were able to raise £574.00 for the charity. There is still time to donate to this worthy cause.
‘Hugely Proud Of The Effort’
Richard Montgomery, Managing Director at Mitchells said: “We’re disappointed to lose our title this year and we’re hugely proud of the effort that the team put in not only in the races but also in raising vital funds for Nottingham Hospitals Charity.
“We have supported the charity for many years as we share their principles and aspirations for our local community and supporting them aligns with our family values.
We look forward to competing for the title again next year and raising even more money!”
