What is a tail lift?

A tail lift is a lift that is permanently attached to the rear of the delivery vehicle that allows the palletised load to be lowered to the ground or raised to the level of the truck bed without the need for a forklift truck.

What is the maximum weight for a tail lift delivery?

The preferred maximum weight for tail lift delivery is 1,000 KGS but by arrangement, we can increase this to 1,200 KGS.

What is ePOD?

Epod is the electronic capture of a digital signature and or photo evidence to prove
delivery was completed.

Can you distribute parcels as well as pallets?

How do I make amendments to a job?

Amendments to current consignments can be requested over the phone but may incur
further charges and should be backed up with an email confirmation of the change. Contact us if you need to make amendments to your consignment.

Do I have to have an account to send a pallet?

We offer a credit account facility for those wishing to open and use an account or
alternatively you can use our single-service pallet delivery website sendapallet.co.uk where you can make payment immediately using a debit/credit card,  Stripe or Paypal.

What is the difference between Premium and Economy delivery service?

A Premium delivery is expected to arrive the next working day (excluding bank holidays). An
Economy service will see delivery within 48 hours of dispatch but at peak times, or in a
situation beyond normal conditions, be up to 72 hours.

Can I have a Saturday delivery?

Yes, we can deliver to most UK mainland postcodes on a Saturday. These deliveries do
incur a surcharge and you should check the postcode with customer services before
sending to make sure it is achievable.

Do you offer a pallet and wrap service?

Yes, we can collect goods and wrap them (only). This will incur a surcharge. Please note
that wrap is only a weather protection and does not act as a suitable product to secure the
goods to the pallet base. Contact us to arrange this service.

What is the safest way to palletise goods?

Goods should be secured to the pallet base using straps or banding or rope to make sure
the goods cannot move during transit. The pallet should then be wrapped using a suitable
shrink wrap to protect the goods from dust and or weather elements. Goods should also
be clearly labelled. Please note that a driver reserves the right to not collect goods if he
deems them to be unsafe to travel.
